People with a positive mental mindset tend to believe that in most situations good will prevail. That’s healthy. If it’s true optimism, the person also acknowledges real or potential problems that may stand in the way.
There is a thin line however that is easy to cross for those who don’t look a problem in the face. Instead, they passively wait for tomorrow to be better and ignore the problem.
Guess what? Tomorrow isn’t magically better. I’ve done that too often.
Sometimes ignoring the problem is a way to cope when feeling overwhelmed. But unless I take at least one of these problems each day and make peace with it, tomorrow will feel the same.
